Goode 9700![]() Sizes: 62", 64", 65.5", 66.25", 67", 69" Price: $990 (blank) Scores Speed 4.67 Turning 4.42 Stability 3.58 Carryout 4.33 Predictability 3.75 Overall Impression 4.50 The Goode 9700 is water skiing’s equivalent of an Italian sports car – it's blindingly fast and if ridden correctly turns harder then any ski on the planet. These kind of performance characteristics made it the overall top performer of the test. The test Team loved the speed and exceptional carryout off the second wake to the buoy, but felt that the ski can be temperamental. For skiers with very technical styles, the 9700 is hard to beat. “My first time ever on a Goode and I loved it! I need to buy one.”—Jim Morton “I like the ski and the fact that I was quickly able to ride it with confidence.”—Mark Schneewind “The 9700 is a little tough to initiate an onside turn and is a little squirrelly, but has an awesome offside turn.”—Mike Erb “Probably the best ski Goode has built. The skier can control the sharpness of the turn more than other skis. Ski is very sensitive to body position.”—Bruce Butterfield |
