Radar MPD
![]() Sizes: 65", 66", 67", 68", 69" Price: $890.00 (blank) Scores Speed 3.78 Turning 3.78 Stability 3.78 Carryout 3.67 Predictability 3.56 Overall Impression 3.78 The Radar MPD is a brand-new ski designed by water-ski icons Herb O’Brien and Andy Mapple. It was the most anticipated ski of the tests and didn’t disappoint. The MPD allows skiers to backside the ball, and it doesn’t punish you for your mistakes in the process. The ski was a standout with the power skiers of the test. In addition to being very forgiving, the MPD turns fast and holds a ton of angle. The Radar MPD gets the job done by being smooth and consistent. “Effortless from side-to-side.”—Keith Albritton “My favorite of the test. It got better as the rope got shorter.”—Mark Schneewind “Feels slow out of the ball, but you still get to the next ball early”—Scott Jones “If you like to turn hard and load hard, this is your ski. The ski is very stable in and out of the course.”—Scott Greenwood The Radar MPD that was tested in this review is an early production ski. Radar MPD slalom skis will be available for purchase by late summer 2006. |
